Navabharathi College of Elementary Teacher Education (D.El.Ed.) is established at Vidyanagar Colony, Pebbair in 2012 approved on 29-11-2012 by N.C.T.E - Bangolore with recognition order No: F.No.SRCAPP1175/D.El.Ed./A.P/2012 which is affiliated to Director of School Education, S.C.E.R.T., Hyderabad.

Every year the batch runs with 50 (40 Students from Convener & 10 Students from Management Quota) students and with 8 Teaching staff members including Principal.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in to D.El.Ed. Course

A. Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

B. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local Status requirements as laid down in the T.S. Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order 1974 as subsequently amended.

C. Candidate should have obtained a rank in DEECET 2015 and should satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed.

D. Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 17 years as on 01-09-2015. There is no upper age limit.

E. Educational Qualifications:

I. The candidate who passed or appeared for the 10+2 2014- 2015 final Examinations (qualifying examination) or its equivalent are eligible to appear for the entrance test. But they should have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.

II. The candidate should have secured 50 percent of marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged candidates shall however be 45 percent.

Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate examination with vocational course(s) are not eligible.

F. Qualifying marks: Candidates belonging to “OC” and “BC” communities shall secure at least 35 percent marks in DEECET for assigning merit rank in the CET. However there shall be no minimum qualifying marks in respect of SC/ST candidates for allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories.
